DNA Research SIG
Welcome to the DNA Research SIG! The DNA Research Group holds monthly Zoom meetings for those members interested in participating. Our group is a forum for family history DNA sleuths to discuss the fascinating science of DNA. The discussions are moderated by a coordinator.
DESCRIPTION:
The DNA Research Group is made of GSSB members interested in working together to learn more about DNA. Specifically DNA testing, the types of testing that are available and how to interpret the results. We meet the first Thursday of every month via Zoom at 2pm eastern time.
Joining The Group: If all this sounds good to you and you've become interested in the DNA Research Group, then email us at contact@gssb.net to join the group. Let us know if you have any questions.
Genetic Genealogy: Genetic genealogy is the use of DNA testing in combination with traditional genealogical and historical records. Genetic genealogy involves the use of genealogical DNA testing together with documentary evidence to infer the relationship between individuals.
