Mayflower Society Interest Group

Welcome to the Mayflower Society Interest Group!  The Mayflower Group holds monthly meetings for members interested in participating. Our group is a forum for family history researchers working to prove their lineage in a manner acceptable for membership in the Mayflower Society.

DESCRIPTION:  The Mayflower Group is made of GSSB members interested in working together to learn more about and to research the various lines of descent from the settlers arriving in America on the Mayflower. Our goal is to produce personal research and documentary proof of our lineage to any one of these settlers.  Once complete we also strive to assist each other to apply for and become members of the Mayflower Society.

Joining The Group:  The only requisite to joining the SIG is that you are a member of the GSSB. Send an email to the society general email with questions or to express interest in joining.  Email contact@gssb.net to join the group but let us know if you have questions.

The General Society of Mayflower Descendants, better known as the Mayflower Society, is a hereditary organization of individuals who have documented their descent from at least one of the 102 passengers arriving on the Mayflower in 1620 at Plymouth, Massachusetts. This society was established in 1897 and is headquartered in Plymouth, Massachusetts. You can find much more about the society at:  Mayflower Society.
