GSSB Member Emails:  Reminder to please review your email spam settings in your email program or with your provider. If you are not receiving emails from the society you may have GSSB emails blocked or marked as Spam. We've discovered some members may still need to unblock or "allow" emails from GSSB or mark ___@GSSB.net as non-spam within your settings. If you have questions please email us at Contact@gssb.net.
Thank you, GSSB Website Team

Bulletin Article Submissions:
If you have an article you would like to publish in the Bulletin please contact the editor with your idea or with what you have already written. We are always looking for family history essays and other genealogical stories from our members. The Bulletin is a great forum to publish a brief biography or a story of special interest, and we also accept “How-To” articles or stories you have about your search for your family history. Email your idea for an article or a completed draft submission to Contact@GSSB.net. Attach a WORD document or even write your draft directly into an email.  Either way will work.  We prefer submissions to be less than a 1,000 words, but if longer please contact the editor for other options on how we might publish a lengthier submission.

Member Pictures:  We now have the ability to put pictures in our Membership Directory so that you can put a name with that face. We hope you will consider providing a photo of yourself to add to our directory. This is viewable only by our GSSB members, not the general public. Members can submit a head shot to webmaster@gssb.net or have your picture taken at one of our meetings. Log in and check out our member directory - it is under MEMBERS in the menu.

Participate in our Surname Database :  Just search or post names to search.  Click on Surname Database to get started.  You will need to be logged in to access the Surname Database through the member PROFILE area.

Meeting Program Schedules:   Schedules have been posted for both GSSB and for French & Canadian Historical Society.  These list the meeting topics for 2017.  Feel free to print these so you don't miss the meetings! (GSSB Documents) or go to the EVENTS listing for specific information.

NEW - Resource Links:  We continue to post new Resource links, including some great webinars on organization and genealogy software, among other great "How-To" videos. We now have a number of free resources such as research and family chart forms.  New features just for members were also added - a place for "Research tips and tools" where you will find some great research helps.  And a place for you to interact with other members - "Just Ask".     ..... So login and take a look!

Fix to GSSB Emails:  We have been able to resolve our email problem of the wrong household member being addressed in the salutation.   If  your email is still being addressed to the wrong person, please let us know and we'll make the corrections.  We are also encouraging folks to log into their website accounts if they haven't already done so. The response has been great... Thanks everyone for your support... we love seeing people using the website.

NEW - Member Facebook Page:  We have had a Facebook presence for some time now, and with our digital presence has brought the need to create a members only facebook presence, separate from our public page.  This reduces the ability of advertisers to clog up our facebook and allows members a more focused forum within our society and social media.  Check it out, we think you'll like it:  MEMBER FACEBOOK
